You are required to write a 500 word evaluation of this module.

The module has been my favourite so far which has made me a lot more involved and interested in the briefs. I felt like I could engage a lot more in the set briefs as I could make them more personal. Especially during acts of kindness where I could express my passions. I See Faces allowed me to draw characters which is my strongest skill. At first Persons of Note didn’t interest me at all but it became more interesting when I changed my person and brought more passion to express his views. During this brief I have developed my skills in Adobe Illustrator which I couldn’t use at all before this brief, The workshops were a massive help in making my sticker design for Acts of Kindness. I have also learnt how to sew a lot better than I have ever done in the past because of the Persons of Note where I was encouraged to come out of my sketchbook where I constantly find myself. I now find sewing therapeutic and plan on experimenting with it a lot more in the future. I have learnt a lot more about visually communicating in my work by making my designs as minimal as possible and focusing on what can make my images readable without adding text. I noticed this the most in the Persons of Note brief when creating the A2 design which I intended on adding font to but instead concentrated on making a clear action. I am most proud of my final sticker design. Whenever I have used Adobe Illustrator in the past I have not been too pleased with the outcomes but the workshops that were prior to the final design helped me a lot when thinking of simple shapes to make a strong outcome. The way in which the text fits around the tail of the cat is one of my strongest ideas throughout the whole module as well as the representation of the cat without sticking with the typical nose and whiskers style. The workshops have influenced my ways of working throughout the module. In particular, the GIF workshop as I had no idea how to make them beforehand. I plan on creating more GIFs in the future as I found it interesting and it made me a lot more enthusiastic when using Photoshop which I tend to avoid. Looking at other artists has influenced my work such as Emory Douglas where his work inspired me to make my own work more anarchic and protest inspired in Persons of Note. Elliot Krusznski’s sticker designs aided me in creating my own stickers for Acts of Kindness when looking at how he used the space to create it. This module has inspired me to work out of my sketchbook more in the future and stop just making work to satisfy the brief. I have learnt how to manage my time more effectively when set different briefs as I fell behind a lot in I See Faces and stayed later in the studio to catch up rather than drowning in it at the last minute.
